CHICKALOON COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

DATE: June 11, 2025

Officers: Jeff Myers (Chair), Kalee Bowen (Vice-Chair), John J Vessey

(Member at Large), Cindy Hotz (Treasurer), and Blanche Roe (Secretary)

  1. Call to order  7 pm
    II. Pledge of Allegiance: Nacey

    V. Approval of minutes: 1st Lill, 2nd Marsha
    VI. Announcements & Guest Speakers: 
  1. Amanda Dial from ASRC: The public comment period has ended.
  2. Donna from chickaloon tribal police: Download the app AK tips for turning in confidential information. 
  3. Kendra from Mat Su: Spoke on water body setbacks the orderliness is in front of the commission. 

VII. Reports and Correspondence:
A. Treasurer’s Report: Cindy Hotz
B. Road Service Area (RSA) 31: Dave Vancleve saidthey didn’t dress up the roads very well, so he called last week they grated the roads. There will be contractor work maybe in july.
C. Community Assistance Program (CAP): Cindy has been working hard to get everything done,but We are going to do an envelope stuffing party volunteers needed.  
D. Fire Dept. Report: No news is good news fire danger is low Still burn permits tell August 15th.

  1. Crime Watch Report: Mile 83 troopers are still looking for the two people that where stealing stuff. Please look out for bears.

Community clean up bbq on June 28th at 1pm at the community center.

Community clean up bags will be dumped June 30th.

    A. Estate sale the 14th and the 15th from 9am to 4pm.
