Bears!! Near the end of Fish Lake Rd.

Bears!!  Near the end of Fish Lake Road. Looking for food at 1:00 am this morning (7/2). Looks like 2) 3 year old Bears. Be alert.

Additional reports in the last couple weeks of the bears visiting additional properties in the area.

Remember, if you encounter a Bear:

• Stay calm; do not run.
• Keep people and pets inside; secure livestock if possible.
• Give the bear space and slowly back away while keeping it in sight (avoid direct eyecontact).
• Make noise and appear large only if the bear approaches; do not approach or feedit.
• Remove attractants: close garages, secure trash, bring pet food and bird feedersinside.
• If the bear behaves aggressively or is habituated to humans, contact local wildlifeauthorities or non-emergency police.
• Carry and know how to use bear spray where appropriate; use it only if the bear isthreatening.
• Report repeated sightings so authorities can assess risk and take action.
